A very unexpected surprise to find New York Review Books collection of gay artist Joe Brainard’s two “C Comics” comics in which he collaborated with poets. Gay poet Frank O’Hara being one name. All very experimental for the 1960s. Original copies of these two issues are rare and range in price from the hundreds to several thousand dollars. That said, do a search for “C Comics Joe Brainard” to look at images from these two comics to decide if you want to invest $45.
