Jayden is one of the closest friends of Brielle Brooks, the superhero known as Bloodline, and was one of the first to learn when Brielle’s powers manifested. Whereas Brielle and their other friend Rebecca are both athletic and into sports, Jayden is a gamer. He won a video game tournament, beating a vampire named Eturnal who attacked Jayden for beating him. Brielle fought off the vampire, although she damaged Jayden’s custom game controller in the process by using it as a weapon.

Sometime later Jayden was flirting with a guy online who turned out to be a vampire and a member of a cult. When the vampire remarked on Jayden being scrawnier than his profile pic suggested, Jayden retorted that his own profile failed to mention that he was a vampire–or that he had such foul breath! The cult intended to turn Jayden into a werewolf before killing him. Jayden was somewhat intrigued by the idea of becoming a werewolf, but Brielle rescued him before the vampires could do anything more to him than paint a symbol on his chest.
