Denver Broncos coach Gary Kubiak did not announce the starting quarterback candidate after the end of the preseason, but he said he already had enough information to make a decision.
Trevor Siemian helped the Broncos to a 17-9 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in their third preseason game, who also completed 10 of 17 passes for 122 yards with a touchdown and an interception that came off a deflection.
After the game, when Kubiak was asked to evaluate the performance of Siemian’s, Kubiak mentioned his calm performance which his teammates also mentioned this point. Kubiak commented: “I’m impressed, I think he was very calm.”
Rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch entered the field after Siemian, but Mark Sanchez did not appear. Kubiak represented that the decision of the starting quarterback candidate, pay close attention by the outsiders, will be made in the next few days.
Siemian, joined the Broncos in 2015, has made good use the opportunity to work with quarterback Peyton Manning. In the past few weeks, he was stable and has an opportunity to become the starting quarterback.
When the game finished, Siemian was asked if he believes he will be a starter, he said: “I am confident, but eventually it depends on (Kubiak).”
